Right now I only have the 30 trial for Corel Painter X that I got off the site--a big mistake because I'm now obsessed with getting my hands on $400 to buy the full version. IT BEATS PHOTOSHOP IN MY BOOK <3 Lot more intuitive. That and digital water color. Top that. It all just looks nicer and is a lot more enjoyable to work with.

Combine the two together and there shall be sex!

Comic Works is really cool too (another trial piece. Seriously guys, Google these software packages and download the trials--they are so awesome D: ) but I think I'm going to buy Painter first because--while Comic Works is a professional manga-rendering program and has the ULTRA sexy rotate canvas feature (I always angle paper when I draw--sue me)--Painter does GORGEOUS pictures.

I can color pictures in Works, but the tools aren't as great as visible by the Yuu cat gore picture. And I'm planning on a full color comic. Obviously, that poses a problem--simplified layout or ultra glamor?

Comic Works is about $139 if I remember correctly and Painter X is the whopping $400 as I mention. Can you say ouch? Right now I have $115 from doing various odd jobs and an unknown additional amount stashed in Luka's Big Box of Money.

I should really count that and find out for sure.

Either way: It's not enough to get both software packages, unfortunately. So either I need to make some money fast or be ready to settle for one or the other since time is ticking down until departure to Japan.

Why am I bothering with it if I'm not going to be in interwebs contact with anyone? Because I'm going to find myself relying upon it heavily in college, and I'm trying to work something out for Lavi to upload to the Dev account art that I send him. No garauntees, but it doesn't hurt to try. If that fails, I'm passing the story, concept art, beginning scripts to a very dear old friend of mine with a BRILLIANT sense of humor who not only could do it justice, but quite possibly do it better than me. Since it looks like there's not a certain schedule to look to to find out when I'm going to be States-side again, I'm not going to make you wait god knows how many years for something that may or may not be that great in accordance with your tastes. And when I do come back, I'll be taking back over the comic unless Twice gets too much of a fanbase going and in that case we've agreed to coauthor it and crank out twice as many pages a week.

THAT ALL ASIDE.

I'm very, VERY tentively approaching the possibility of a one month art binge for money. Because I need the sexy art programs. And college. I need to start saving for classes too D: In other words, commision me for small $$$. I'd be willing to draw anything from landscapes (which will probably suck) to people, to animals, to porn (which yes, I can do and do well DDD: ) although preferably not containing all those in one picture D:

Basically, I'm game for it, but I need to hear from whether or not I have people who will actually buy from me before I get all set up and then get HORRIBLY disappointed (Flea markets come to mind, effing hicks) with everyone saying "yeah I'll totally buy!" and then suddenly "not having money" or "just not interested".

If you think I suck, level with me so I don't pour hours into creating prints and clearing my schedule for commisions.

I could always do a Cafe Press, but I don't think I'm capable of thinking up something witty enough to make that much of a profit when I'm only getting paid $2 a sale. And I'd much rather make stuff specifically FOR my friends before dropping to my knees and shameless begging for money.

Do me a favor and actually respond to this entry so I can get a bit of input back from you guys so I'm not just sitting in awkward silence dreading that I somehow made an ass of myself D:
